This is a song that made the top 10 nationally in 1984 in Australia. I was there on some of the recording sessions when the original was recorded and have known Shane on and off over the years. I believe him to be on of Australia's finest songwriters and performers with some of the most 'classic' Aussie songs ever written.

I am totaly honoured to be able to present and release my version of his amazing song Solid Rock. I know that the origanal will ALWAYS be the definitive version of this brilliant song. I just had to record and sing it Shane....I hope you like this attempt at capturing the 'moment'.

I will be officially releaseing this on my EP [ with 5 other songs] in late June 2008.

It will then be available for [paid] download. This is a legal release with APRA recieving the writers royalties that will then be paid to the writer, in this case Shane Howard. This is the ONLY way to do cover songs folks....any other method is not legal and it is really important to recognize that the writer of the song be the one to benifit from any financial earnings by that song.
