Two musicians have teamed up to create a beautiful album of African flavoured World Music, "MUSIC 4 WATER". The band is called "PENDRAGON HALL" and is made up of members David Pendragon, Bill Hall and Friends. African sound samples are courtesy of SpectraSonics "HEART OF AFRICA" This album also contains the #1 hit song "DEEP WATER" by 'TRIBE'. Why? Because this is how we intend to raise the funds to start this project. We aim at raising the funds to create the first African Well or Water Supply System within 6 months!  A child dies every 15 seconds from diseases caused by unsafe water and sanitation; mainly from diarrhoeal diseases like cholera and dysentery. Yet all are easily prevented through water, sanitation and hygiene projects. This is an ambitious attempt to raise the money to dig Wells and create Clean Water supplies in villages in different parts of Africa. We will start with ONE . That's always a good place to start. This project will grow, we the people will make it grow, we the people have the power, we CAN change the world we live in. With music we can make this happen. "MUSIC FOR WATER" !! Every time someone pays EIGHT DOLLARS to download this great music album 75% of that will be donated to an African aid organisation that deals with the funding of well digging and clean water supply systems in Africa. If it can be achieved, we hope to be able to direct our fundraising at a specific project or projects so we can give you regular updates on progress. We have established that the organization most skilled in these areas is a wonderful group called WaterAid. They are able to do all the things we need for all this to succeed, all we need now is the funds! The only other thing we ask of you is that you pass this site address onto 3 [or more] of your friends and that you request that they pass it on to 3 of their friends...... If you could just remember that this album took the artists several HUNDRED hours to create, could you take a few minutes to help this work and fulfill a dream? We thank you. The remaining 25% will be used to pay for site and Internet Transaction fees[unfortunately!] and also to create more albums for equally worthy causes. We will be approaching other musicians[some very well known ones] to donate a song to these future albums and hope that the idea will catch on and raise urgently needed funds for such things as AIDS research, Environment studies, Poverty and Hunger of Children Relief and any future Disaster Relief Projects.
